Nancy Chanover et al., again had a successful night with AOTF. Rosie Wyse and G. Gilmore continued their observations with Grim. Good run, no problems of note besides a few times were Grim would not carry through with an exposure command. Subsequent attempts would succeed. The seeing was generally 1-1.4 arc-sec, and fluctuated for most of the night. We simply made many adjustment and went with what we could get. I was able to obtain a small lens data set, two primary targets. The gamma ray burster was again observed in J and R bands. The seeing and focus was much better tonight as compared to the previous, a good data set. Nothing of note was seen. *the hose fittings for the PMS pumps all need clamping. We are leaking air. USER COMMENTS: Nancy Chanover: We had another successful evening of observing the Venus night side with the Goddard AOTF camera. The seeing did not seem as good as last night, but the telescope repeated its good tracking on Venus using input velocity offsets... even to high airmasses. Rosie Wyse: An excellent night: weather good, telescope retained focus better than recently. Grim proving (mostly) reliable, very efficient observing. As usual, the TO support was excellent. Some GRB observing for public release at end of night. The telescope focus drifts are an item worth future work....
