Considerable snow and ice was melted today, warm and sunny, but enough ice remained at the crown of the shutter to warrant remaining closed. The concern, specifically, was that the ice could be dislodged by wind and fall within the enclosure. The good news is that another 2-3hrs of good sunshine should melt all remaining ice. The forecast looks good for tomorrow night.
