All systems were tested and functioning as prescribed. Gordon Richards observed with Dis for the Adler program, no problems encountered. The lens program obtained data sets on two lens, no problems. Alan Dierks and Austin Tommany then used SPICAM. Observations were delayed by a problem with the fill. The dewar had been topped off prior to installing the instrument on the telescope, but it ran out of nitrogen soon afterwords(false fill, autofill). A quick fill was done and we were back on. Tommany observed for the first hour, under poor seeing conditions. Alan then came on to observe. We did encounter a failure with the guider that required a reboot of the guider system. I will email Jeff Morgan detailing the event. Alan lost one, 10min exposure. Tommany continued afterwords using SPICAM. No problems were encountered, other than poor seeing. Alan commented that his run went well, other than the lost exposure to the guider. Austin Tommany noted this was the first data he had obtained in 8trys. Even poor seeing and murky skies were fine.
