The seeing was generally poor, but improved late in the evening. No useful data was obtained for the Turner Lens Program due to high sky background counts in b, >48,000cnts. Detection of the lens in r was not made with 1min exposures also. As conditions were most likely photometric, the time was used to obtain thruput data. The data is not fully reduced at this time. Rhodri Evans had a relatively successful evening using grim's polarimetry capabilities. Rhodri's run was interrupted again by IC communication errors with Grim. Some time was also lost due to the T_Status process in TCC stopping, 22:05. When the process was restarted, tracking stopped, and the observing script, interrupted, had to be restarted. Tom Harrison and Joni Johnson used Dis for high resolution spectra of classical nova. Clear skies and better seeing prevailed. No problems were encountered and a good run was reported. During afternoon checkout, many of TCC's processes stopped, ~17:30. The occurances of stopped processes on TCC is becoming more frequent. The guider was used tonight with DIS and performed well, though recovery from telescope moves/slews is not clean. I will contact Jeff Morgan to pass along any information that might help in this regard.
