The first half of the night we were clearly clouded-out. Then after midnight the overhead cloud situation improved with only partly-cloudy to occasional mostly-cloudy conditions, but we were constantly surrounded by encroaching clouds from both the SW and the E. There were radar blips associated with these clouds that were mostly on the fringes of the county lines. Later on, towards the last couple of hours, the clouds to the east disappeared, but the clouds to the W actually produced stronger radar returns and those returns were over Alamogordo and to the south of us.
