The sky cleared up at 4:00 UT when we opened to a clear sky with poor seeing (~2"). 2.1 hours was lost at the beginning of the night. The seeing improved to 1.3" at 8:30Z, left not enough time for BOSS dither data. Clouds rolled back at 9:30Z. Observed 21 designs, completed 19 of them. Notes: 1. The battery for M1 C actuator needs to be replaced or reset. 2. fvc_percent_reached on designs are lower than typical ones tonight. Most are at ~43%. 100018-711313-20777's is at 18% with perc_90 at 22.6 um and rms at 19.01 um. APOGEE S/N on the design is high at 5.5K but BOSS S/N^2 is unexpectedly low, at 0.59 for b1 while expected S/N^2 from GFA images is at 2.0. 3. We experienced another very brief internet interruption on sdss-obs at 10:16, STUI session was disconnected, reconnect it right back. Boson seems still connected (timer for exposures are running, GFA images are still updating), buttons (preload designs, stop/start guiding don't work until boson was disconnected, and connect back. MCP-TPM GUI was disconnected too. 4. BOSS failed to readout the arc exposure on the last design 100500-712048-20781. BOSS ping shows all three controllers are alive, a "BOSS status" triggered another readout, but the process failed. "reload Controllers" didn't make difference.
