A cloud front from the north rolled in at ~4:00Z, and the air behind it created poor seeing (4-5") until morning twilight, which made for inefficient observations. Completed 25 designs. Notes: 1. Robot 986 again reported a collision tonight, on Field-Design-Configuration 102418-754519-22373 at 3:15Z. Exploding and unwinding restored the FPS to folded, and the subsequent execution of the configuration was met without further issue. No other collisions reported. 2. Another high and long spike in wok air/ambient air + RH was observed tonight lasting between 5:15Z and 5:30Z. This corresponds very nearly exactly with the execution of Configuration 22379 (Field 103807, Design 755712) and ends with the configuration reversing to folded. No change in coolant temperature, which is still set to 10 C. 3. Also a BOSS camcheck event. Took a bit to diagnose, but unplugging and powercycling the sp1cam media converter with associated reload controllers eventually got it working again. 4. Unable to gather sufficient signal in time. ---- Engineering Issues ---- More details on the camcheck event. A variety of warnings including a stale sp1 camcheck, a MicroNotTalking, propagated around 00:00Z. The sp1cam did not return a ping. A 'boss reloadControllers' would say that sp1cam was connected, but almost immediately a camcheck would time out. I reloaded controllers several times, restarted bossICC, and even power cycled the spectrograph but nothing worked. Called Kaike. I should have realized sooner that this must be the BOSS communication issue that has been coming and going for the last little while. Unplugging the media converter for a few seconds, reconnecting, and issuing associated reload commands and iacks got everything working again.
