Open to patched cloudy sky at 6:05Z, it quickly improved to mostly clear, clear. observed one design before tried pointing model data collection which failed at the first pointing. Then I resumed the queue observations. Jose logged in, we started the pointing model data after completed one design. The 40-point pointing model dataset took 70 minutes, was completed at 8:36Z when dark time starts. Observed and completed 4 bright designs, 7 dark-monitor designs (3 epochs). Notes: 1. The code for pointing model data collection failed (see log for errors) at the 1st attempt the guider is not in idle. We need to check and ensure guider (cherno) is in idle and FFS is open before starting the script. 2.collected 40 points datset for a new pointing model. The process was started from sdss5-tcc as sdss5, so the data files, grid_40_20240815_2.*, were saved to /home/sdss5/pointing_stuff. I copied them over to /home/observer/pointing_stuff.
