Resend it. Weather conditions in the first 2 hours are excellent, mostly clear with good seeing, 1.0-1.3". After that, clouds roll in, seeing degraded to 1.5-2.8". Observed and completed 32 designs, include 3 BOSS calibration cluster designs on M35. Conor requested two sets of 6 points of BOSS dith data on STUI: pick a field that will be up for a bit. configure and observe it for the first 6 dithers (don't do the whole sequence). then reverse, and reconfigure and observe the same field for the first 6 dithers. we basically wanna know if we get the same answer back to back. Unfortunately, weather conditions never meet requirements for BOSS dither data, either clouds or poor/unstable seeing. Notes: 1. The integral term in guiding helps significantly in centering guiding offsets around zero. The command to set the term is: "cherno set pid ra (or dec or rot) ti 0.01". Jose said that values between 0.004 to 0.01 were used during SDSS4 depends on altitude. I tested 0.01, 0.005, and 0.02. Because of unstable conditions, it's hard to draw conclusions from tonight's tests, but here are my impressions. 1) A larger integral value centers measured Ra or Dec errors around zero better, but the error range will be larger too; 2) It seems that Ra, Dec measured errors depends on seeing condition. 3) for the same fields, Ra and Dec may needs different integral value. 2. BOSS calibration cluster designs on M35: 511213 (1X900 sec, file 365561), 511214 (2X300 sec, file 365562-63 ), 511215(2X300 sec, file 365564-85). Two 300 sec exposure were taken due to thin clouds on both bright designs. SoS produce very low SN2 on these exposure due to moon light. 3. one 300 sec exposure was taken by mistake on design 452593. The exposure time was left over from observing BOSS calibration cluster designs. 4.Several designs were observed at high altitude (~75-80 deg), Guiding RMS and axes error were excellent on these fields tonight, not different from lower altitude fields. 5. 10 minutes was lost to a problem on fvc loop hung during gotoField. The command "fliswarm talk -c fvc expose 5.0" didn't comeback. "FVC loop failed" after 6 minutes. "goto field" failed on the fvc loop with an error: Another command jaeger-command-parser_fvc_loop is already running. Then I issued "fliswarm reconnect", followed by "jaeger fvc loop --stop ".
