We taped it with a black tape, to shade its red light. - we updated Boson to v. 0.0.5 on both obs1 and obs2. Good news: the focus loop now shows all 6 GFA data points. The autofocus works as it should. Obvious news: Boson still hangs ~ 4h 15m after its start. Note that we tried to install its x86 binaries on one computer and arm64 on the other one (while both computers have Apple M1 CPU). It turned that the M2 got stuck, and the reported value is an approximation, while the actual focus did not move. We stopped M2, and then it started working normally. The actual best focus stayed around +130 all the time.
