There are two reasons. First, Ryan did not recommend to run pointing model because telescope is out of balance. The FVC installation caused it, and it cannot be successfully compensated by regular counterweights. Second, the first hours in the night we had a relative clear sky, but bad seeing, according to the 3.5m. Most of the night the sky was cloudy. We've had more or less clear sky between 8:30 and 10Z. The time loss can be attributed the the weather. Just issued a hub startNubs to the actors to do this. Short read dark was completed fine. Unable to check the test image with ds9 since both obs1 and obs2 do not have access to the /data/apogee directory. 23:30Z Started APOGEE evening cals, for consistency checks. Restarted podium STUI. Grabbed mirror numbers. Secondary mirror numbers are out. Kaike will be online later to work on the M1 numbers. 00:17Z Contacted Ryan, who advised us not to do the pointing model since the telescope needs additional counterweights to counterbalance the weight of the FVC. 1:07:54 OBSERVER.kpan: FYI, because the optical collimation was done with a old set of primMountOffset (we didn't catch that).
