Essentially the brass knurled knob sticking up out of the blue ocean optics= fiber light source, accessible from the back door of the enclosure in whic= h the apogee cal box resides, needs to be opened (unscrewed) iteratively as= quartz flat cals are taken until the typical counts are recovered. The de= sired attenuation is touchy and may have been in the range of 3.5-4 turns o= pen, starting from fully closed. I can send confirmation on Monday along w= ith a picture of the knob and light source.
