Subject: 2.5m obslog 20211105 (SJD 59524) From: asimmons@apo.nmsu.edu Date: Sat, 6 Nov 2021 07:55:14 +0000 (UTC) APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Friday November 05, 2021 (SJD 59524) ---- Observing Team ---- Audrey Oravetz Dylan Gatlin (R) Kaike Pan (tests) José Sánchez-Gallego (support) ---- Observing Plan ---- Tests Instrument block and pointing model ---- Observing Summary ---- Kaike tested some altitude and azimuth pterr track commands just after twilight. We updated the instrument block. We completed 138 stars of a 155 star pointing model, when unfortunately the roller for the rotator motor completely broke off. The 138 points were saved and the analysis was run. Results are in the log body. This new pointing model has been loaded, but obviously not tested yet. An email was sent to Ryan explaining what happened. It is the same event that happened a few months ago, but sadly with the replacement roller. The broken roller is sitting on his desk. SecTrussTemp is reading an odd temperature = -22.70 ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon: ========== Checked actors, disk space, mirror numbers, BHM cals. Unfortunately we are running into the same issue as the other week with not being able to see the images automatically pop up in the guider window. I restarted the ecameraICC with no help. Contacted Jose for help, since the other issue is a possible disconnect with the http server. Anddd silly me.... The fix was to load the cartridge. Thanks Jose!!
