The gust limit was breached at 06:21Z, forcing us to close for the remainder of the night. ---- Observing Log ---- 22:45Z Clear on site, but windy and high gusts. AFTERNOON CHECKOUT: =================== 22:55Z Restarted podium STUI. Started APOGEE evening cals. Grabbed mirror numbers - ok 23:45Z APOGEE cals finished and inspected - ok. Started FPI cals. 00:00Z Ventilation begins 00:13Z Setting up the engineering camera. Dark and flat done. Flat exptime = 45s, flux = 35K counts The BOSS mechs were found not responding during checkout. The controllers were reloaded, and an iack was issued. Now camChecks are being reported again, and the temperature for the red camera was reset to the newest temperature set point of -126 instead of -119. Night: ====== 00:45Z - Opened the enclosure to mostly clear skies. Breezy, and a bit dusty. The 3.5m telescope has been reporting 1.5" seeing, but it is very unstable - not optimal at all for the engineering focus test. We will wait until the conditions improve a bit before proceeding. 06:13Z - Stopped ventilating and closed the enclosure. The wind gust surpassed the limit, and was getting worse. The dust has been elevated ever since we opened as well. 09:55Z - Sky is extremely cloudy.
