The counterweight portion of the new GUI is waiting on a repair to the old hardware that can be used to move them manually.  It was next on the list until the power supply started acting up.  Now power supply replacement will bump it again in priority. > > 3. This is a balance issue.  Hitting an e-stop sets the telescope brakes only after a slight delay, during which the telescope can move slightly.  If engaging the pin before an e-stop works, feel free to do it, but sometimes it causes similar drifting due to delays (some of which appear to be intentional).  The best practice, if you wish to avoid the oddities, is to set the telescope brake using the MCP stop button, then engage an e-stop. Hitting the e-stop on a live axis is fine, in fact it could be called the best practice if we want to find the oddities - not necessarily a bad thing. > > 4. I think his plan was to store nominals in a file on the TPM machine, if that is done the scripts may need to be modified to access it.  I don't know with certainty, but I don't think fixing LUI was part of the project.  I have the impression it has a lot of other problems.
