Try disabling the light curtain interlock for the manipulator, it is a =
small toggle switch inside the large grey box.  The switch is located at =
the bottom center of the box, mounted on a piece of aluminum angle.
Angle of the setting sun is probably interfering with the light curtain. =
 The manipulator will also move horizontally when the light curtain is =
off (door closed) so that is another option to override the interlock.=
