Subject: Re: [sloan-25mlog 3697] Re: 2.5m obslog 20171009 (SJD 58036) From: John Downey Date: Tue, 10 Oct 2017 13:49:47 -0600 MTP #2 has been pulled back out of the gang connector face and is stowed = in the shell with the spares. The spring push needs to be replaced. While not broken, the tabs that = lock it all together are now rounded over enough that it won't stay = locked under the force of the mating connector's spring. Fibers 31-60 will be missing until we can get it repaired. > On Oct 10, 2017, at 8:00 AM, John Downey wrote: >=20 >>=20 >> Notes: >> - Bundle 2 (fibers 31-60) was still faint. Looks like either the spring push let go or = broke. This is entirely the kind of thing I've seen = before with it - disturb the system to make one seeming minor repair and = you get a cascade of negative effects as a result. >=20 >> - Had some light curtain issues again tonight.
