I think the problem is the data mirror, which marginally can do its job =
at 7-8 MB/s, slowed down because I rebuilt the RAID mirror on the spare =
hub.  I should have broken the mirror first, and then reconnected and =
synchronized the next day when the rebuild was done.
The data disk slowing down causes the software to fight for time to get =
the data, and it causes multiple actors to block for data, which makes =
them unresponsive and sluggish.  When the rebuild finished this morning, =
hub25m's load returned to 'normal'.
