JohnP tested and installed sopActor v2_11 which fixed tickets 2155 and 2161. We completed the lossy fiber time-scan test for SP1 and also completed the lossy fiber focus sweep test for R1/B1. ===== In the middle of our data-taking, we noticed that the data that we took thus far disappeared from /data/spectro/MJD and /data/apogee/MJD. See Fritz's infrastructure email (17059). JonB recovered/transferred the data from /expert/home/boss, but some of the data was written into directories which already had existing files. JohnP had to bump up the nextExposureNumber since our exposure numbers were jumbled. During afternoon checkout, we found that the guide camera was not powered up. Clicking on loadCartridge in the SOP brought back all the telemetry and information in all STUI windows. Not sure if STUI 1.5 is okay on landru. 22:49Z APOGEE short dark -ok; Grabbed mirror numbers - ok; checked platedb -ok; actors tested - hartmann actor down; Brought it back up with stageManager through sdss4@sdss4-eboss. 00:09Z Guider is not connected - working on fixing it; APOGEE evening cals are done. With DanL's instructions, we unplugged the ethernet cord and then cycled the camera's power. Gcamera was happy again. 01:23Z Snowing now. Loaded Cart 8 for the lossy fiber tests. Lindy cart is in the enclosure due to inclement weather. Night: ====== 02:36Z - Started lossy fiber test on SP1 with cart 8. Exposures 188157 - 188194. 04:04Z - Focus sweep test with lossy fiber setup (R1). Exposure time of 80 seconds is fine (max counts ~15k). Exposures 188196-205 and 188698-702. See infrastructure email from Fritz (10759). During our test, we lost the data from /data/spectro/56966 and /data/apogee/utr_cdr/56966. JonB was still on site so he was able to copy the files back into the BOSS directories from /export/home/boss. However, some files were copied over into directories with existing data. Also, the data does not have the .gz extension. The exposure numbers were jumbled since the nextExposureNumber was changed (data just taken were over-riding existing data). JohnP logged on and bumped the nextexposureNumber a bit so that we could continue with our lossy fiber test. JohnP tested out the new sopActor v2_11 which fixes tickets #2155 and #2161. 07:34Z - Started focus sweep test with lossy fiber setup (B1). Exposure time of 500 seconds is fine (max counts ~14k). Exposures 188709-188724. 10:36Z - Remounted cart 12 after tests were done. Took a few test cals for BOSS and MaNGA. They look just fine. 11:08Z - The clouds will not let up.
