We completed BOSS monthly cloudy night tasks: 5 flats: 168019 - 168023 25 biases: 168024 - 168048 3X900s darks: 168049 - 168051 We were not able to take mirror numbers via LUI again tonight. Elena was able to get mirror numbers by way of a work around to LUI and we compared them to the nominal values obtained three nights ago to ensure they were in agreement. The instrument lift hand paddle display is not working properly. We are able to operate the lift, but the force reading and the lift height are only reading zeros, even when the lift is under load and raised. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon --------- Telescope has been checked, all worked properly. Median spectrographs temperatures: Tsp1= 9.7, Tsp2= 8.8; Outside air temperature= 9.0; Got boss collimation on cart 17 (11 was not in the bay). Cart 6 is mounted for night. Night ----- 04:15Z - Still very cloudy and humid. We mounted cartridge 17 in order to complete the BOSS cloudy night tasks. During the cartridge change it was noticed that the instrument lift hand paddle display was not working properly. The force reading only ever read zero during the entire cartridge change procedure and the lift height measurement also was only reading zero.
