We had a problem with the altitude axis during afternoon checkout that was traced to the magnetostrictive sensor. Reseating the associated Burndy connector restored operation. French and Dan are aware of the issue and will address it tomorrow. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon: ---------- Alerts actor was not connected, hub startNubs reconnected it. The monitor camera for 25m enclosure is down. Dan is aware of it and plans to fix it tomorrow with Ben. BOSS spectro collimation was checked with cart 18. The problem was traced to the magnetostrictive sensor again. We unplugged/replugged the Burndy connector for the magnetostrictive sensor located above the PMSS box and then normal operation was restored to the altitude axis. Night ===== Opening was delayed because of approaching clouds/radar returns. Around 07:30Z the rain sensor was tripped because of snow flurries. 07:39Z - APOGEE morning calibration sequence started.
