Work with John P. for two hours on opt-software for two hours, we closed two tickets: #1498 and #1674. Notes to developer and engineers: 1. We have warning message: Warn boss.SP1BlueIonPump Reported by camCheck Warn boss.SP1BlueIonPumpLatched Reported by camCheck Looks like B1 Ion pump has some issue. See problem section for more details. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon ========= Checked STUI actors, checked mirror numbers, checked upper and lower telescope enclosure, checked cartridge/plate configurations in platedb with the night plan, checked fiducials, cleaned APOGEE gang connector and took APOGEE evening cals, took guider dark, BOSS biases and dark. in, we had warming message: Warn boss.SP1BlueIonPump Reported by camCheck Warn boss.SP1BlueIonPumpLatched Reported by camCheck We cleared it with "boss ackErrors". It keeps come back. Sent message to Connie, Jim, Craig, and John. P. French is also aware of it. We checked the ion pump several times through the night, and found it is not stable. sometimes steady four bars, sometimes two flickering bars, sometimes four flickering bars. It steadily showed four bars for 3.5 hours. But in the morning, it becomes flickering again. "boss sp1cam raw=specstat" reports pressure of LOGP of -7.77. According to Connie this is impossible low. We keep monitoring the camera temperature and Ion_pump_logP through the night, do not notice any changes. While specstat reports low pressure on B1, the ion pump shows four bars while others have only three bars.
