In my experience it throws up a traceback during auto-reload, and reloading the page manually brings it back. For a while after the fix, it would sometimes make it through the night, but in the last few days or so I am seeing it last less than an hour typically before putting up a traceback. I don't have numbers, but it seems like it does this more frequently during observing than during the day. Sky had a few scattered clouds, and seeing was good. Could Kyle or David please check the signal on plate 5018 from last night and 55719? SOS has not posted any signal for this plate. The observers could also use a report on plate 5017. During the afternoon checkout, boss-icc hung during the readout. Jon Brinkmann restarted the boss-icc, which fixed the problem. Also, during the afternoon checkout, we could not turn on the MARVELS ThAr lamp for the pre-run calibs. So, we called Nathan, and he was able to fix the problem by reconnecting a controller. Guider crashed during Cart 13, and the CENTER UP button did not work after crash; see log. The webApp seems to be crashing more lately. Hi Howard. Thanks for noting this. Could you provide more detail? Is this a crash which is fixed by reloading the page, or a hard crash which requires restarting the platewebapp server? Does this only happen when you are manually browsing and loading pages, or does it sometimes happen with the auto-reload of planObserving (i.e. do you ever come back to the window after a while and find the crash?) Could you send us a copy of what is on the webpage the next time this happens? We still have Adrian for a few more weeks, so there is still a chance to get this fixed by the original expert. Regards, Stephen Hi Stephen, I too have noticed this. In my experience it throws up a traceback during auto-reload, and reloading the page manually brings it back. For a while after the fix, it would sometimes make it through the night, but in the last few days or so I am seeing it last less than an hour typically before putting up a traceback.
