We observed: Cart 10, plate 4691 Cart 11, plate 4738 (DONE) Cart 16, plate 4740 Cart 18, plate 4786 Cart 14, plate 3949 (DONE) Cart 15, plate 4178 As twilight deepened, we saw something illuminating the telescope when we observed cartridge 10. At first we thought it was a car, but investigation showed it to be the APOGEE lab. The doors were wide open (for painting?), and all the lights were on. We turned them off as quickly as we could, but the first science exposure had just started. If you see the broad features of a fluorescent lamp, that's what happened. SoS showed no warnings for that exposure (128749), so hopefully it is good. Guide fiber #9, which is always in the NE corner of the plate, was significantly out of focus and needed to be disabled each field we observed. There were also a few fields (cart 10 and cart 18) where the signal to noise for R2 was significantly low. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon: ---------- Checked out telescope. Seeing 2.5-3" 0259Z - 15 min exposure. 0316Z - 15 min exposure. Seeing 1.8" 0332Z - 15 min exposure. 0348Z - 15 min exposure. R2 is lagging behind. It's S/N is ugly compared to the rest of the cameras. This plate is not done yet.
