If facing the front of the scope while at stow, it was the bottom right petal. This normally closed (open-limit-type) switch was bad; and unfortunately, we could not find a replacement. So, French used another set of NC terminals on the switch to fix the problem. Now, the petal seemed happier. In other words, if we tried to close the petal by hand, the motor would now reopen it. But, we still could not close, the FF screen with the software or the bypass hand controller. We tried, rebooting the MCP but no joy. We called Wendell, and he suggested that we check the fuses and relays in the FF screen controller box, which was located behind the previously problematic petal. All the fuses were good, so French pulled the power relays and reseated them. Then, the petals started working. We rebooted the MCP again, and all was well. We, unfortunately, lost about 2 hours clear dark sky to the problem. 02:25Z Telescope hardware problem 04:30Z End Telescope hardware problem
