On the first cartridge, b1 focus ring requested a move of -3.0 degrees. I suggest we set up b1 ring so that we have a move request of + 3 to 4 degrees for the first cartridge. In most cases, it will be okay. I also suggest that we check and adjust focus ring when spectrographs are in temperature equilibrium. This says we should do adjustments before starting evening ventilation. > > Short hartmann exposures failed after all (except one) of our > gotoFields > tonight. We did not issue a second set of hartmanns. We just went on > to take > cals. Ticket #1239. I feel that this happens quite frequently recently. It seems that everything is fine, short hartmann was taken, collimator pistons get to their destinations commanded based on short hartmann output. But gotoField failed with no calibs being taken, and leaving arc lamps on (this is good because we don't need to warming up lamps again). Usually issuing another gotoField will work, or we can take calibs manually, then start guider. From what I see, it looks like a timeout issue. Anyway, we lost some on-sky time: 1 to 2 min every time this happens. I feel this is a high priority ticket. Observers, because lamps warning issue, please take arc first (sop doCalibs narc=1) if you decide to take calibs manually. I strongly suggest we just simply gotoField again. > > The 'guider centerUp' button within the guider window does not > work. It needs to > be typed into the command line. Ticket 1240. >
