We had an instance where the scale change issue was evident during a MARVELS
cartridge. A record of the events is in the Problems section. During the actual
scaleChange test to attempt to produce the overshoot behavior, everything behaved
appropriately.
We observed the following MARVELS fields under clear skies with good seeing:

No problems to report during afternoon checkout. Turned on the ThAr lamp,
checked out the telescope and fiducials. Mounted cartridge 10 for scaleChange
tests in the evening.

scaleChange Test

We tried to reproduce the problems we've experienced with the scale changes
overshooting or not being applied properly. The idea was to apply scale changes
and monitor the subsequent output of proposed scale corrections to verify that
the appropriate change had taken place and to record mirror positions to
investigate whether problematic scale changes are hardware or software related.
To this end we made a series of scale changes and recorded "delta percentage
scale corrections (=10^-4 * MeasErr from guider window)" and mirror numbers.
These values are all in the Mirror section. During the test we were unable to
produce a misbehavior.
Later on, during a MARVELS observation, we did notice the scaleChange problem.
