We please need cart 03 mounted on the scope if conditions allow during the day. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon: --------- 20:59Z - Actors checked - all OK 21:03Z - gcamera dark, BOSS bias and dark taken 21:50Z - With r1, r2 in focus, cartridge 11, Temp sp1=3.3 Temp sp2=2.7 COLLIMATE: Camera b1 appears to be OUT-OF-FOCUS (|mean| > 0.15 pix) COLLIMATE: Predict blue camera ring movement of -5.0 degrees for spectro-1 COLLIMATE: Camera b2 appears to be OUT-OF-FOCUS (|mean| > 0.15 pix) COLLIMATE: Predict blue camera ring movement of 5.7 degrees for spectro-2 The spectrograph collimation should be good for night-time operating temps (confirmed with sos doHartmann). 22:32Z - Afternoon checkout at the telescope had only one problem. The 180-liter dewar feeding sp1 had a lot of frozen condensation on the dewar, but not the fill lines. After consulting with Dan, Wendell and Tracy, we decided the LN2 loss rate due to the dewar's apparently worse vacuum was low enough that we should have plenty of LN2 for the night. Tracy will change the dewar out tomorrow. High humidity prevented enclosure ventilation.
