No plates observed, and we never opened. The parking lot and access road were not plowed at the time the log was mailed. Snow accumulation on site was about 6 inches, and snow was still falling lightly at morning twilight. Since we are staying on site, we don't have a snow report for Hwys 6563, 130 or 82. Because of continued snowfall, we didn't do much snow shoveling. Once the snow stops, there will need to be some work done before cartridges can be moved to/from the telescope. The Linde cart is in the enclosure with cartridge 15 on it. When possible that cartridge should be moved to the plug lab (see the plugging email). Ran APOGEE morning calibrations and autoscheduler. ---- Observing Log ---- Afternoon --------- Snow started just now. We think that we do not have any possibility for observations tonight. 00:00Z Anyway, we powered telescope on, placed cart 13 inside enclosure for possible dithered flats, made apogee evening calibrations, obtained boss bias, dark, and hartmann (but did not apply requested changes), flat and arc. Boss cameras had proper temperatures, specto dewars were full and connected, gcamera was properly cold. We got mirror numbers and they were right. We did not move telescope and did not check fiducials. We are all dressed up but nowhere to go. :-)) Night: ----- A much needed snowfall tonight. Good for the forest, bad for the survey. We never had a chance to open. No plates were observed. Every hour we got the following warning in the log but not the alerts window.
