The temperature was steady and the heater volts were over 9 indicating it was working hard to maintain the higher temperature. I did an iack, and the temperature returned to the nominal -100C, and the subsequent biases looked normal. How it got in this state is a mystery. David (or Connie), is there a reason the temperature info is only recorded once an hour? If not, could we increase the sample rate to 10 or even 5 minute intervals? Cheers, Dan Telephone in observing room nearby computers does not work, so we need to use another telephone. Not very good way to discuss things from computer log output. SOP GUI did not work. I think it tries to run calibration for marvels cartridges if we select guider on on gotoField. SDSS weather station does not work. Was there a network problem at APO? Please provide more details, especially if this is not yet understood. At the beginning of the night the CCD temperature was normal. Around 8:30 we noted that temperature of sp2-B camera was -80C instead of previous and nominal -100C. No alerts or we did not see them. I see a jump in the archived values of SP2B2CCDTempRead that started between 6:18 and 7:18 (values are only reported every hour) and lasted until just recently, going back to normal between 14:18 and 15:18.
