Just to clarify, the problem was apparently in the mcp;  sop and the =
guider behaved correctly given the information provided (although it's =
possible that the tcc could have been pickier, which would also have =
solved the problem).
I'll update the ticket, but I think that Craig read the bits wrong in =
the middle of the night; isn't 0x800 the amp_bad bit?  This makes more =
sense;  I don't think it's easy to have the stop button set for just one =
axis.
