The mirrors were really out of adjustment, but Tracy brought in a laser pointer and we were able to get the mirrors close to center, then used the LED's inside the junction box to tell us when we got it aligned. Took a few minutes of adjusting because if you touched it, it would be perfectly aligned but then pull away and it goes out of alignment. We'll keep an eye on it today for any other malfunctions, hopefully it was just the mirrors. -Garrett, Tracy >> APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M >> >> OBSERVING LOG >> Saturday October 9, 2010 >> >> (MJD 55479) >> >>---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- >> >>Viktor Malanushenko >>Dmitry Bizyaev >> >>---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- >> >>BOSS Science for the whole night >> >> >> >> >>---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- >> >> >>Partly clear and dark BOSS science night with good seeing.
