This can happen when a ctrl-s is issued in a telrun session. After a while the regular broadcast messages fill the buffer. A ctrl-q will get things going again. I think there are other ways this can happen when communications between the TCC and a session on a remote host are interrupted. I'm not sure how big a problem it really is (unless of course it is a session you are currently using!), but one can close problem TCC connections from the $ prompt. The following is an excerpt from the TCC operators manual. $ SHOW USERS/FULL info on all user sessions (process names) $ SHOW PROCESS your process name (so you know which one not to kill) $ STOP [process name] to end a given user session Cheers, Dan > APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M > > OBSERVING LOG > Tuesday June 9, 2009 > > (MJD 54992) > >---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- > >Dan Oravetz >Alaina Shelden > >---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- > >MARVELS Science! >Flexible Engineering > >---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- > >Cloudy and some rain the entire night.
