The new cloud camera is back in operation. We ran Kyle-ibrations. Gory details are in the log body. Note that someone (Nathan, I think) was running a very long test sequence of calibration lamp exposures. The sequence was not finished by the time we closed down, so WE DID NOT TURN OFF THE ThAr lamp. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- Afternoon checkout was leisurely because we had very little hope of opening on time. No problems at the telescope noted. No spectro focus check made, because we had a cloudy night request from Kyle that would involve running collimate a lot. Started ventilation, but left building on. 01:00Z - Howard adjusted focus on the newer cloud camera. There was a problem with the iris aperture closing when he tried to adjust the focus, but he was able to reopen the iris and get a better focus by comparing the relative iris and focus positions on the backup camera and applying those settings to the new camera. 01:45Z - Adjusted the guider focus on BOSS cartridge 11. It was only 1/2 tick CCW from the best MARVELS focus position. 02:52Z - Started a re-do of the check of collimation repeatability between BOSS cartridges. Kyle would like more data points for better statistics.
