What you did (stopfillseq, startfillseq) has NOTHING to do with the filling of the 10L from the 180L, only the filling of the primary camera dewars from the 10L. What were the pressures at the time? The only thing I can think of that might cause this behavior is very low pressure in the 180; we have seen this before..if the pressure is low enough, the 10L NEVER fill properly, but liquid keeps flowing slowly and evaporating before it gets to the 10Ls. ALWAYS check the pressure both on the 10L and the 180L if you see behavior like this. Dan, we were going to get a pressure sensor in the 180L liquid line such as exists in the spectro setup. When will this happen? thanks --jim On Wed, 24 Sep 2008, Dan Oravetz wrote: > > APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M > > OBSERVING LOG > Tuesday September 23, 2008 > > (MJD 54733) > > ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- > > Audrey Simmons > Dan Oravetz > Steph Snedden (support) > > ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- > > BOSS/SEGUE Science! > > ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- > > We noticed strange behavior with the 180L imager dewar.
