Engineering Handoff:
====================
    The engineering hand-off is complete (at least everything that can
be done without opening the enclosure).
    Note:  The old guider is on the second shelf from the top of the
cabinet just to the left of the door in the engineering trailer,
should you need to revert to it over the weekend.
Spectrograph Fills:
===================
    A couple of times today a secondary fill was forced.  When it
completed a manual fill was initiated.  In both cases the 10 L dewars
almost immediately began venting liquid (less than an additional
pound of LN2 was added).  We will continue this test over the next
week to see if we are getting any full sensor glitches.
   I would recommend the observers do the same when topping off the
spectrographs prior to observing just to be sure the dewars are
indeed full.  If we don't see any evidence of short fills over the
next week, we can go back to the standard operation for fills.
M2 Galil Problem:
=================
    Yesterday afternoon marked another occurrence of the garbled galil
output we've seen happen once every month or two.  Despite
appearances it seems it isn't a galil problem, at least not directly.
The reason I say this is that we have seen this happen with both M2
galils.
    A reboot of the galil clears the problem, however since it happens
with both galils, it seems unlikely that we are seeing a problem with
both of them.  Rather it may be something else in the communications
chain is getting confused, or confusing the galil.  It almost looks
like some hex data stream is getting mixed in with the normal galil
response.  See excerpts from the TCC log below for some examples.
