We observed stripe 82-S from lambda 111 to 154 including ramp. We have ended the drift because of clouds. We could not do more observations this night. We also did three spectro dark frames with black foam inside enclosure as last part of the spectro monthly checkout. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- T=4.9C, Wind gusts up to 30 mph. All systems checked and working but I did have to reboot the MCP. Spectro focus checked and set for 1C. Plate 2432 was used for the spectro check. Night: ------ It is clear at the evening, but Satellite and Radar show large storm going to us. But we still can observe for a while. 23:52Z Mounted imager and took telescope bias inside enclosure. Run 6547. Opened enclosure and force to fill thye spectro dewars. It took 24 lb and we think it is ok as previous filling was only 6 hours ago. 1:08Z Supernova stripe 82 N. Start lambda (lam) 110, in focus from frame (fr) 24, skippy is happy from the beginning, seeing is variable in range 1.4-1.9". Science started at lam=115 (fr 38). The clouds slowly increased and around lam=150 (fr=273) became very extensive. We was waiting for 15 minutes more to see if we have chance to continue the observations, but we don't and the drift had been ended at lam=154 (fr 300) at 4:05Z. Last days we did not have time to make spectro dark frames as a part of the Spectro monthly checkout. It is a good time to do it. So, we switched to spectroscopy. The enclosure has been closed, cartridge 4 plate 2432 is mounted with black foam was placed on the plate to set it #666. ~5:00Z Three sets of dark. Files 41340 - 41342. We repeat this without foam and it is fine now. 08:10Z Although the forecast predicated the overnight temperature would be below zero, but so far it is stable at about 5 C. So we decided to adjust spectro focus to 5 C. We was waiting until 11:20 and closed the telescope.
