Yes, exactly... but this was in the middle of the night, after I'd already been commanding the spectrographs for several hours. It seems like something interrupted communications but I couldn't tell anything obvious according to the SOP output. Nor did I try a grabInst -drop/grabInst -handlers etc. I just kept requesting the postCal until it took. >> >> SOS reported the disk is 96% full and we need assistance to clear >> disk space. >> >> > > There is some daytime bookkeeping that SoS does that will probably > make the message go away until sometime during the night when more > data stacks up. Craig pointed out, which I didn't know, that SoS mirrors what's on host2 (probably something like rsync running every so often as a cron job). Well, I shouldn't say I didn't know, but rather that I figured SoS would purge the data it's already reduced once finished. I didn't make the connection last night 1) not having seen this error message before and 2) noting that the /data partition on host2 was at something like only 81% capacity, though of course it has more disk space. Elena pointed out all the OK_TO_REMOVEs on host2, and in retrospect that's what we should have done. Lesson learned! John
