From: Robert Lupton Subject: Re: 2.5m obslog 20050826 (MJD 53609) Date: Sun, 28 Aug 2005 18:00:19 -0400 I think that all we have to do is to modify the fiducials table, changing all values by 0.14*3600/0.021315787526207226 (assuming that the value is 0.14, and that I've got the sign right). If I remember correctly, this'll be `sticky' next time that we make fiducial tables, as the value of the "canonical" fiducial is taken to be correct (78 on the rotator, according to the table). This is the only way in which the canonical fiducial is special. I hope that the previous paragraph is correct! I thought a bit, and looked at the code, and it seems vaguely familiar. You can do this on sdsshost with the command: ~rhl/mcp/bin/fiddle-fiducial rot.dat 0.14*3600/0.021315787526207226 or ~rhl/mcp/bin/fiddle-fiducial rot.dat 23644 (checked in in the mcp mainline). You'll probably really want to redirect the results to a new file, of course. R
