Subject: Re: 2.5m obslog 20040228 (MJD 53064) Date: Sun, 29 Feb 2004 14:45:39 -0700 (MST) From: snedden@apo.nmsu.edu (Stephanie Snedden) Hi all, Regarding the DIMM: You can't move the Meade telescope to the shutdown position remotely. It has to be done manually. I suppose we could include a "stow position" option in the software, but I think it will still need to be visually inspected, so I'm not sure if it's worth implementing. The only reason the Meade needs to be at this position, is that it ASSUMES it's there when it is powered up. So, in fact, if it's too hard to reach in the tub, there's nothing wrong with powering it down at some other alt/az and moving the Meade to stow position after. I'll modify the procedures accordingly. Thanks for the feedback! Steph
