Now the software mask of the trees and tripod match the images of trees and tripod. This should give us greater dynamic range on the scaled image (the second image on the web page). It should make no noticeable difference on the "difference image" at the top of the web page. PT: --- Steph checked the PT pointing again. She removed the pointing terms and did another equatorial and meridian sweep. There was no big difference at first glance, but she will look at the images in more detail later. Quite frankly, it looks like we don't even need a pointing model for PT patch purposes. It's nice to have a huge FOV. The PT is ready for operations. DIMM: ----- DIMM is unuseable until Monday. Steph & French set the DIMM up to test the alt. slewing/tracking. While doing an alignment, the main fuse on the motherboard blew. French suspected the new alt drive cable might be wired wrong, so he replaced it with the old cable and replaced the fuse. The DIMM was aligned and set to Polaris. After about fifteen minutes, the connection to the Meade was lost. Sure enough, the fuse had blown again. We have a brand new problem that French will assign to his crew for Monday.
