strange axis behavior requiring us to call Jon and French.

During afternoon checkout, the ptvme link was lost. A ptvmeReset appeared to
fix the problem. See the problems section for the ptvmeTest results.
Night shift:

Clouds at sunset and a radar echo delayed opening until 02:20Z. We started
with spectroscopy.
Plate 1152: F-stars plate. There were still plenty of clouds around, though
thin. Of course, as soon as we started an exposure, the clouds thickened, and
