Imager tasks completed Data stored on phoenix:/data/photo/optics/52927 DAs: checked and doing well. Spectro: bias, dark percentiles taken, flat, arc checked, hartman exposures done, spectrographs in focus. Mechanicals checked - and they were good. Problems with Ne NLAMPS reported by SOS - Mike says something like this: If you leave the Ne lamps on while taking multiple arcs, NLAMPS (in SoS) will deteriorate after the first exposure (i.e., NLAMPS will be in the black for the 1st exposure then yellow for the 2nd and then red for the third). This is why the second and third arc in a row taken without switching off the Ne lamps have bad values of NLAMPS. Jon Brinkman suggested we might need to increase arc exposure time from 2 to 3 seconds. 2.5m calibration Ne lamps replaced (we hoped that we can get better NLAMP behavior by doing this - but it didn't change anything). Primary and secondary mirrors homed and relaxed - mig values were in spec. Fiducial tables: changed by Jurek mcp_fiducials v1_8 (only alt.dat was replaced). Azimuth fiducials were bad. So, Steph and Mike collected additional az fiducials on shake down and replaced az.dat table as well --> mcp_fiducials v1_9. MCP was rebooted. PT flat field lamp replaced.
