We finished 4 plates under mostly clear skies. 1052, 960, 730, 982. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- We opened on time under mostly clear skies. It was never photometric, but clouds were generally thin enough and few enough that efficiencies didn't suffer too much. 03:00Z Cartridge 6 960 18.4 20.7 18.9 25.4 Guide stars acquired ( required fk5 ) 15887 had bogus exposure time ( was really 900 ) 04:30Z Cartridge 5 1052 13.2 14.6 12.4 15.0 Guide stars on go to field. 5.3 5.6 5.2 5.3 ------------------- 18.5 20.2 17.6 20.3 We only needed two exposures to finish this plate when last night's exposure is included. However there was no plate to switch to until 6:00Z, so we did an extra exposure to get us within 15 minutes of the start time of the next available plate. 15892 had bogus exposure time ( was really 900 ) 06:00Z Cartridge 1 982 14.4 18.1 17.8 27.1 FK5 required. Clouds and bad seeing made for slow going. Even 20 minute exposures were only giving 3 S/N. Clouds thinned later and we actually got the plate finished. 08:30Z Cartridge 3 730 20.0 27.4 17.8 23.4 No guide stars. Went to FK5. Cleared offsets and FK5 showed up. Going back to field showed no guide stars. Huh? The guide stars were nearly 10 arcseconds away from the offset position where the FK5 star was centered. Just missed getting this one in three ( 12.9 on b2 ). Fortunately there was enough time to take an additional exposure. About half way through the night we had to change the imager dewar. It started requesting fills more and more often until it was asking for them almost continuously. The fills were less frequent after the dewar swap, but were still more frequent than they should be ( 1 hour instead of 4 ). ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3265 00:07Z 00:15Z 100 O -0.34 1.74 28 ignore ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields alt az nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 15880, plate -9999 ------- 00:06 15880 0.0 bias ----- sequence 15881, plate 960 ------- 01:20 15881 10.0 flat 01:22 15882 2.0 arc ----- sequence 15883, plate -9999 ------- 02:02 15883 0.0 bias ----- sequence 15884, plate 960 ------- 18.4 20.7 18.9 25.4 03:13 15884 10.0 flat 03:15 15885 2.0 arc 03:42 15886 901.0 target 03:59 15887 21765.0 target 900 really 04:17 15888 901.0 target 04:24 15889 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15890, plate 1052 ------- 13.2 14.6 12.4 15.0 04:40 15890 10.0 flat 5.3 5.6 5.2 5.3 52465 04:42 15891 2.0 arc ------------------- 05:04 15892 23236.0 target 900 really 18.5 20.2 17.6 20.3 05:22 15893 901.0 target 05:29 15894 240.0 smear 05:48 15895 901.0 target 05:55 15896 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15897, plate 982 ------- 14.4 18.1 17.8 27.1 06:40 15897 10.0 flat 06:42 15898 2.0 arc 07:08 15899 1201.0 target 07:31 15900 1201.0 target 07:53 15901 1201.0 target 08:16 15902 1200.0 target 08:23 15903 240.0 smear 08:26 15904 10.0 flat 08:28 15905 2.0 arc ----- sequence 15906, plate 730 ------- 20.0 27.4 17.8 23.4 09:00 15906 10.0 flat 09:02 15907 2.0 arc 09:26 15908 1201.0 target 09:43 15909 901.0 target 10:06 15910 1203.0 target 10:13 15911 240.0 smear 10:36 15912 1201.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 03:24Z 6 960 208.53 -0.0018 57.55 0.0010 50.34 -0.0146 1.000200 04:51Z 5 1052 232.47 -0.0018 69.82 0.0010 66.15 -0.0146 1.000020 06:49Z 1 982 42.26 0.0015 48.93 -0.0037 214.39 0.0044 0.999950 09:16Z 3 730 -2.69 0.0057 68.18 -0.0011 177.66 -0.0006 1.000080 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL5443 Stays: JL5444 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 03:24Z 6 960 1.00020 -1974 -676 -200 209 57.6 14.2 11 86 - 1.5 03:55Z 6 960 1.00020 -1974 -667 -200 213 54.2 13.8 13 82 - 1.9 04:48Z 5 1052 1.00002 -196 767 -200 232 70.3 13.6 13 79 - 1.7 06:48Z 1 982 0.99995 493 1444 -150 43 48.8 13.2 16 71 - 2.3 07:50Z 1 982 0.99991 888 1750 -150 20 55.6 12.8 16 76 - 2.4 09:16Z 3 730 1.00008 -789 331 -150 -7 68.1 12.9 20 74 - 1.9 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 00:00Z 62 45 10 12 (NNE) 1077 - Mostly Cloudy 00:33Z 63 45 0 245 (WSW) 1059 - Mostly Cloudy 01:05Z 63 43 5 88 (E) 947 - Partly Cloudy 01:37Z 62 41 8 112 (ESE) 831 - Partly Cloudy 02:07Z 60 44 8 75 (ENE) 1081 - Mostly Clear 02:37Z 58 45 11 77 (ENE) 1247 - Mostly Clear 03:09Z 57 44 13 80 (E) 1145 - Mostly Clear 03:39Z 57 44 12 86 (E) 1152 - Mostly Clear 04:10Z 56 44 11 80 (E) 1142 - Mostly Clear 04:42Z 56 44 14 74 (ENE) 1249 - Mostly Clear 05:15Z 56 45 11 79 (E) 1342 - Mostly Clear 05:46Z 56 47 14 76 (ENE) 1384 - Mostly Clear 06:16Z 55 46 12 82 (E) 1424 - Partly Cloudy 06:47Z 55 45 15 72 (ENE) 1376 - Partly Cloudy 07:19Z 56 44 16 66 (ENE) 1225 - Mostly Clear 07:50Z 55 45 16 76 (ENE) 1178 - Mostly Clear 08:21Z 55 45 12 73 (ENE) 1215 - Mostly Clear 08:52Z 55 45 15 69 (ENE) 1206 - Partly Cloudy 09:23Z 55 45 20 76 (ENE) 1258 - Mostly Clear 09:53Z 55 45 17 67 (ENE) 1257 - Mostly Clear 10:25Z 55 45 13 58 (ENE) 1314 - Mostly Clear 10:57Z 56 44 6 75 (ENE) 1359 - Mostly Clear ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- 01:15Z Doors open, Fans on 02:15Z Enclosure open 10:50Z Enclosure closed, Fans off Stowed at 30 deg alt, cartridge 4 installed.
