Subject: July 2002 Shakedown Summary
July shakedown summary:

1) We are running off last month's pointing model and fiducial tables.
We will have to make these work, since we are in the midst of a Paralan
shortage and the engineering camera is off-line until Paralan returns
some repaired units.
2) Be aware that there is a new apache www server on sdsshost. There is
a new procedure for retarting it. (See the July shakedown plan for
details).
3) PT pointing & collimation have been checked. Let Steph know if the
first pointing error of the night is larger than usual.
4) IOP: There is a new option to goDrift called -autoScale that scales
the monitor displays to show more sky level variation as well as more
structure in objects. You may also change scale during a drift with
gScale [scale] [range]. The scale factor can vary from 0 to 1 and the
range is in DN. Folklore will be filed with more details.
5) Do not trust the relative humidity or dewpoint from the TPM. The
calibration is in quesion. Use the values from the 3.5-m monitor
instead.
6) We have a new procedure for powering up the PT camera & filter wheel
box at http://pt1.apo.nmsu.edu/PT/index.html
7) There is a new checkbox to declare smears done in the "End of night -
enter observing log" page of the plate database.
