On the guider problem, is the guide camera gain set to the default value?
I don't know the command off hand)?  There is no mention in the log, and
someone voiced a suspicion this would mess up the centroiding and FWHM
calculations.
Also, observers please note: the filter on the spectrographs' guider that
can go in the focus logs is Schott BG38.  This gives broad peak around
5000A, which falls on the g side of r for the imager filters.
