A few xsigma and wsigma values were in the yellow but none were red. NO PROBLEMS TONIGHT! ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Light clouds (and some moon) at the beginning of the evening so we began with spectroscopy. Plate 947 (cartridge 5): The sky was too bright for guide stars but the FK5 star was easily found and well centered. When combined with previous data (52410), this plate was declared done in 1 exposure. Plate 953 (cartridge 7): Guide stars on the gotoField. Done in 3 exposures. Exposure 15171 had a bad exposure time (this seems to be happening more frequently than it used to) which was fixed with APOFIX. Plate 959 (cartridge 8): Guide stars on the gotoField. Done in 3 exposures. Plate 920 (cartridge 4): Guide stars on the gotoField. Done in 3 exposures. The call for post-cals came too late (i.e., we had already changed the cartridge). It became photometric about this time (0800Z). We considered switching to imaging but since the seeing was marginal (1.8" on the guider) and, at best, we would have obtained only 1.5 hours of imaging, we elected to stay with spectroscopy. Plate 925 (cartridge 9): Guide stars on the gotoField. When combined with previous data (52410), this plate was finished in 2 exposures. Plate 975 (cartridge 1): Guide stars on the gotoField. When combined with previous data (52410), this plate was finished in 2 exposures. Plate 976 (cartridge 6): Had to go to an fk5 star. Guide stars found after this. One good exposure obtained before sky brightened. NO smear obtained. Although photometric from 0800Z on, the seeing remained marginal until nearly twilight. A few xsigma and wsigma values were in the yellow but none were red. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 23:50 15162 0.0 bias 01:20 15163 0.0 bias ----- sequence 15164, plate 947 ------- 6.5 5.3 6.0 5.6 tonight 03:15 15164 10.0 flat 15.2 8.3 13.6 10.0 52410 03:17 15165 2.0 arc ------------------- 03:43 15166 1201.0 target 21.7 13.6 19.6 15.6 DONE 03:50 15167 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15168, plate 953 ------- 18.0 16.0 19.7 18.9 DONE 04:08 15168 10.0 flat 04:10 15169 2.0 arc 04:36 15170 1201.0 target 04:54 15171 23238.0 target 05:12 15172 900.0 target 05:19 15173 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15174, plate 959 ------- 19.6 16.8 19.2 16.5 DONE 05:33 15174 10.0 flat 05:36 15175 2.0 arc 05:56 15176 900.0 target 06:13 15177 901.0 target 06:31 15178 901.0 target 06:38 15179 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15180, plate 920 ------- 18.4 15.0 16.4 16.3 DONE 06:53 15180 10.0 flat 06:56 15181 2.0 arc 07:14 15182 900.0 target 07:37 15183 1202.0 target 08:00 15184 1202.0 target 08:07 15185 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15186, plate 925 ------- 14.3 12.7 12.6 13.8 tonight 08:23 15186 10.0 flat 6.8 6.3 4.0 7.0 52410 08:25 15187 2.0 arc ------------------- 08:45 15188 900.0 target 21.1 19.0 16.6 20.8 DONE 09:07 15189 1201.0 target 09:14 15190 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15191, plate 975 ------- 11.2 11.2 11.3 14.0 tonight 09:32 15191 10.0 flat 4.1 5.3 4.2 7.2 52410 09:34 15192 2.0 arc ------------------- 09:54 15193 901.0 target 15.3 16.5 15.5 21.2 DONE 10:11 15194 901.0 target 10:19 15195 240.0 smear ----- sequence 15196, plate 976 ------- 5.5 6.6 5.9 7.5 10:34 15196 10.0 flat 10:36 15197 2.0 arc 10:55 15198 900.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 02:53Z 5 947 198.43 0.0004 63.78 0.0019 29.17 -0.0274 1.000160 04:13Z 7 953 195.16 0.0006 61.30 0.0012 25.98 -0.0216 1.000130 05:41Z 8 959 194.33 -0.0003 62.38 0.0012 23.87 -0.0171 1.000130 06:59Z 4 920 -21.03 0.0008 53.27 -0.0002 162.38 -0.0190 0.999980 08:33Z 9 925 -38.43 0.0016 48.63 0.0002 148.43 -0.0140 1.000050 09:37Z 1 975 274.44 0.0072 75.81 0.0015 103.10 0.0052 1.000020 10:41Z 6 976 262.49 0.0004 63.27 0.0018 99.84 -0.0041 1.000020 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL5347 (higher number tape was accidentally placed in drive 1) Stays: JL5346 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 02:52Z 5 947 1.00016 -1579 -365 -200 198 63.8 13.4 9 252 - 1.5 04:14Z 7 953 1.00013 -1283 -113 -200 195 61.2 13.1 11 245 - 1.8 05:41Z 8 959 1.00013 -1283 -191 -275 194 62.4 12.6 11 267 - 1.7 06:58Z 4 920 0.99998 198 1059 -275 -21 53.3 12.8 14 270 - 1.3 08:28Z 9 925 1.00002 -198 770 -250 -37 49.2 12.0 9 267 - 1.8 09:38Z 1 975 1.00002 -198 709 -250 274 75.6 12.4 2 266 - 1.7 10:40Z 6 976 1.00002 -198 730 -250 263 63.4 12.4 2 322 - 1.3 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 23:12Z 63 14 12 269 (W) 871 - pcl 23:44Z 64 15 22 247 (WSW) 1079 - pcl 00:17Z 61 11 18 269 (W) 892 - pcl 00:50Z 63 10 14 262 (W) 1076 - pcl 01:27Z 58 8 14 264 (W) 953 - pcl 01:59Z 56 8 12 256 (WSW) 1118 - pcl 02:30Z 55 8 14 263 (W) 1082 - pcl 03:00Z 55 8 12 253 (WSW) 1117 - pcl 03:31Z 55 6 14 240 (WSW) 1123 - pcl 04:02Z 55 2 11 243 (WSW) 1146 - pcl 04:33Z 55 2 10 246 (WSW) 1089 - pcl 05:03Z 55 2 10 237 (WSW) 1193 - pcl 05:33Z 55 2 9 260 (W) 1266 - pcl 06:03Z 54 1 9 273 (W) 1244 - pcl 06:33Z 55 0 15 307 (NW) 1272 - pcl 07:03Z 54 0 9 269 (W) 1341 - pcl 07:34Z 54 0 9 260 (W) 1405 - pcl 08:06Z 54 0 7 266 (W) 1513 - clear 08:36Z 54 0 6 260 (W) 1599 - clear 09:06Z 53 1 1 234 (SW) 1596 - clear 09:37Z 53 1 1 259 (W) 1716 - clear 10:07Z 53 0 5 268 (W) 1492 - clear 10:37Z 53 0 1 304 (NW) 1554 - clear 11:07Z 54 0 5 350 (NNW) 1505 - clear ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- 01:05 Doors open, fans on 01:55 Enclosure off 11:15 Enclosure on, doors closed, fans off.
