Looks like a spectroscopy night at best from the satellite images ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- After a slight cloud delay, it was a good night for spectroscopy. Six plates were declared done ( 9-326, 5-841, 6-772, 7-852, 2-855, 1-620 ). ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- swing shift: ------------ Afternoon checkout went without problems. Spectro Focus Check: -------------------- No focus changes made since all mean offsets were within the uncertainties. See the end of the log for collimate output. The Night: ---------- It was a very smooth night. We had to wait about an hour after twilight to get started, due to clouds, but once we were open we cruised through six plates in three exposures each and had guide stars on the slew every time. A nice problem free night! 03:47Z Cartridge 9 326: 18.4 18.1 16.4 19.3 Stars on slew. Done in 3 exposures We got a large flexure warning on the last exposure, but the smear was already read out and we were at instrument change swapping cartridges when we got the news from SoS. 5:06Z Cartridge 5 841: 16.6 14.8 15.1 13.6 Stars on slew. Done in three. 06:22Z Cartridge 6 772: 15.7 18.3 16.4 16.0 Stars on slew. Fiber 4 has a large translucent glob covering 2/3 of the aperture. It should be checked next time it is plugged. Done in 3. 07:34Z Cartridge 7 852: 16.2 14.4 15.2 17.7 Stars on slew. Done in 3 700s exposures. Smear is the first one tonight likely taken looking at a photometric patch of sky. 08:41Z Cartridge 2 855: 16.4 17.7 17.9 21.8 Stars on slew. Done in three exposures in nearly photometric conditions. 09:56Z Cartridge 1 620: 18.1 17.8 23.5 24.6 Stars on slew. Done in three exposures in mostly clear skies. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 14404, plate -9999 ------- 00:17 14404 0.0 bias ----- sequence 14406, plate 326 ------- 18.4 18.1 16.4 19.3 03:56 14406 10.0 flat 03:58 14407 2.0 arc 04:20 14408 901.0 target 04:36 14409 703.0 target 04:54 14410 900.0 target 05:00 14411 240.0 smear ----- sequence 14412, plate 841 ------- 16.6 14.8 15.1 13.6 05:16 14412 10.0 flat 05:18 14413 2.0 arc 05:36 14414 900.0 target 05:50 14415 701.0 target 06:08 14416 902.0 target 06:16 14417 240.0 smear ----- sequence 14418, plate 772 ------- 15.7 18.3 16.4 16.0 06:32 14418 10.0 flat 06:34 14419 2.0 arc 06:52 14420 900.0 target 07:05 14421 602.0 target 07:22 14422 902.0 target 07:29 14423 240.0 smear ----- sequence 14424, plate 852 ------- 16.2 14.4 15.2 17.7 07:40 14424 10.0 flat 07:42 14425 2.0 arc 07:59 14426 700.0 target 08:14 14427 701.0 target 08:28 14428 700.0 target 08:35 14429 240.0 smear ----- sequence 14430, plate 855 ------- 16.4 17.7 17.9 21.8 08:51 14430 10.0 flat 08:53 14431 2.0 arc 09:08 14432 700.0 target 09:25 14433 903.0 target 09:43 14434 901.0 target 09:50 14435 240.0 smear ----- sequence 14436, plate 620 ------- 18.1 17.8 23.5 24.6 10:08 14436 10.0 flat 10:10 14437 2.0 arc 10:29 14438 900.0 target 10:47 14439 900.0 target 11:04 14440 901.0 target 11:11 14441 240.0 smear ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 04:11Z 9 326 25.83 0.0019 51.82 0.0018 201.47 -0.0096 1.000090 05:31Z 5 841 7.52 -0.0001 61.97 0.0024 186.29 -0.0260 1.000190 06:38Z 6 772 206.88 0.0008 52.75 0.0026 54.72 -0.0228 1.000140 07:47Z 7 852 -17.84 0.0013 60.84 0.0022 164.97 -0.0211 1.000170 09:01Z 2 855 -39.29 -0.0007 55.71 0.0025 147.68 -0.0055 1.000130 10:18Z 1 620 195.54 -0.0006 70.92 0.0011 20.94 -0.0153 0.999950 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- EndNight rejoyced.
