Dust was high all night long (3.5m reported over 3000 counts when they were open). We need rain to get the dust down on earth. Dessicant on the east wall is half pink. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Dust and clouds at the beginnign of the night. Dust never settled and we never opened. We wonder if 1% of New Mexico is in aerosol form? We think we are still getting fallout from the statewide high winds of a few days ago. Steph has embarked on new projects. Project A: knit one, purl one, knit one, [purl 4 knit 4 ] x 4, purl one, knit one, purl one Steph was inspried by Russell. Steph says this project is a "moving form of meditation" --- perhaps Atsuko and Mike should join. Project B: Steph calculated and tested the balance of the telescope in case one of the counter weight bolts break and a weight is stuck in a certain position. She will append the information to the counterweight settings web page after French has checked it over. We have verified that the MET tower dust counts is half of 3.5m inside dust counts when 3.5m dome is open or the fan is running. EndNight ran and completed. The dessicant on the east wall is now half pink. The air is going through dess. 1 on the PMSS rack and this one is blue. But the dess2 is a touch pink. PT dess. is blue. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 01:05 13791 0.0 bias ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL Stays: JL ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 17:01 45 19 10 226 (SW) 2096 - 17:34 42 20 10 211 (SSW) 2004 - 18:06 40 20 14 201 (SSW) 2132 - 18:36 40 21 16 206 (SSW) 1944 - 19:06 40 21 15 209 (SSW) 2198 - 19:37 39 21 13 212 (SSW) 2292 - 20:07 40 22 16 227 (SW) 2502 - 20:39 39 21 16 227 (SW) 2158 - 21:09 40 21 9 192 (SSW) 1918 - 21:40 39 21 14 207 (SSW) 2049 - 22:11 39 20 11 229 (SW) 2148 - 22:42 38 20 13 213 (SSW) 2164 - 23:12 39 20 9 226 (SW) 2082 - 23:43 38 19 9 199 (SSW) 2077 - 00:14 37 19 15 231 (SW) 1898 - 00:45 37 20 15 223 (SW) 1919 - 01:15 39 20 11 241 (WSW) 1764 - 01:48 39 18 18 255 (WSW) 1609 - 02:20 39 16 18 235 (SW) 1727 - 02:52 39 16 13 255 (WSW) 1720 - 03:24 38 18 15 260 (W) 1692 - 03:57 38 17 21 265 (W) 1960 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- ---=== SOFTWARE USED ===--- IOP/SOP: v3_71_2 Watcher: v2_15_0 MCP: v5_10_0 TPM: v2_5_1 AstroDa: v14_36 TCC: 2.6.2 sdssProcedures: 1_40 ---=== MIRROR NUMBERS ===--- PRIMARY: -------- Scale: 1.000000 MIGS TONIGHT NOMINAL Axial A 0.0710 0.0750 Axial B 0.8060 0.8020 Axial C 0.0700 0.0710 Trans D -1.5000 -1.4860 Lateral E 1.8170 1.8540 Lateral F 1.4000 1.4240 GALILS Commanded: 5400. -3700. 900. -200. 31550. 30650.
