I have the following diagnostics plus check the murmur log and your screen history: error writing "stderr": I/O error im> filling out runlog /astrolog/52324/runlog-2996.txt for run 2996. 0207Z The wind looks as if it has died down; we are go down to the enclosure and install cartridge 9. By the time we install the cartridge and are ready to open at 0225Z or so, the wind is nearly back up to closing, and we decide to hold off. 1015Z The weather has quieted down enough that we can open, and we do so. We do not find any stars in the guide fibers, and we cannot find an fk5 either. Realizing the "large fiducial error" in watcher for ALT, we do so. After refiducializing the AlTi using the MCP menu, we gotoField and we find the (very out of focus) fk5 star. We notice that the mirror temperature is very far out of equilibrium with the air temperature. Guide stars are found, but passing clouds cause problems. We never got any useful data. Atsuko is suspicious of the 60 degree alt fiducial; it is sometimes showing large errors. We home the secondary (when the seondary mirror temperature is between -7 and -8 C) to check on actuator A. It looks fine. On closing (1249Z) the chiller pressure was at 53, higher than normal. The exhaust fan is no longer complaining. Go figure. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2996 0048Z 0057Z 100 O -129.86 -127.66 29 ignore ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 13349, plate -9999 ------- 00:51 13349 0.0 bias ----- sequence 13350, plate 788 ------- 11:13 13350 10.0 flat 11:15 13351 2.0 arc 12:13 13352 1800.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1143Z 4 788 186.89 -0.0100 62.81 0.0017 11.57 -0.0220 1.000150 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: none Stays: none ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 04:43 4 788 1.00015 -1480 394 475 187 62.8 -7.6 13 325 1.5 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 15:06 31 23 22 240 (WSW) -9999 - 15:38 32 21 22 255 (WSW) 1712 - 16:10 33 19 30 246 (WSW) 2284 - 18:13 31 12 24 266 (W) 864 - 18:46 29 13 18 268 (W) 735 - 19:18 28 14 13 298 (WNW) 1929 - 19:50 28 16 20 267 (W) 1868 - 20:23 27 16 21 298 (WNW) 1118 - 20:55 27 17 19 267 (W) 727 - 21:28 26 18 22 262 (W) 339 - 22:00 25 20 16 275 (W) 398 - 22:33 24 21 13 269 (W) 544 - 23:05 24 21 13 264 (W) 613 - 23:37 24 20 17 266 (W) 720 - 00:10 23 18 28 283 (WNW) 1202 - 00:42 22 18 12 267 (W) 2340 - 01:14 21 18 12 283 (WNW) 3234 - 01:46 20 15 18 287 (WNW) 1243 - 02:18 19 14 16 282 (WNW) 949 - 02:49 19 14 13 280 (W) 997 - 03:19 19 11 11 295 (WNW) 440 - 03:51 18 10 14 289 (WNW) 305 - 04:23 18 10 17 311 (NW) 327 - 04:56 18 10 9 289 (WNW) 307 - 05:26 18 11 15 307 (NW) 274 - 05:58 18 11 6 286 (WNW) 310 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- Fans on enclosure cracked:~0230Z Fans off enclosure doors closed:0456Z Cartridge 4 mounted, stowed at 30 degrees.
